Wish I had come accross this board before ordering through Tiger Direct. I ordered the Niko 37" LCD TV for $799.99 not includeing the $100 mail in rebate. I sent in what I thought to be the correct documents to get my rebate. I later recieved an email stating that my rebate had been declined because I did not provide the correct UPC Barcode to Varify my purchase. This would not be an issue had I kept the hugh box that it came in.
As any normal person would do I gathered what I thought to be the corrct documents and I through the large box away. I believe that is what they are conting on. Evidently what I sent in was a barcode for the invoice. After talking to both Tiger Direct and Onrebate.com I was told that they would need my pruff of purchase to process my request. I
T's funny how a copy of the invoice and 799 mising from bank account don't count as proof of puchse. I will be posting a warning on our employee intranet at work about Tiger Direct. Although I may not get my $100 back if I can stop just %1 percent of the 60,000 employees from buying from Tigerdirect then I might feel satisfied.
