MCI Worldcom Wireless Ripoff PLEASE READ... Didnt Receive a bill for 6 months. Now stuck with $4,000 bill

I decided to get sign with MCI in oct. Of 2000. I got the lowest plan of 29.99 and would change to a higher plan if I went over my minutes on my first bill. Well Nov. Passed and I still did not receive a bill. I called MCI and they told me that I had a zero balance showing in their computer because they were having problems with their billing system but I would get my bill in a few weeks. Thats when Dec. Came along still no bill and still I didnt know if I was going over my minutes or what I even owed. I called MCI many many times and they still gave me the same line that I would be getting it soon and that they cant help me because all they see in the system is a zero balance for me but they did assure me that when I get my bill my overtime minutes will be adjusted. Finally in March I recieved my first bill for the month of October and bills were arriving every 2 weeks, at the end my bills came to $4,641.61. I called MCI and they told me that they would adjust the bill but they didnt. They told me that my 1000 free minutes were never put on the plan and they would adjust it and they never did. Their argument is that I never paid a bill but I am constantly explaining that I WILL NOT pay a dime up until something is done. How could you send me an Oct. 2000 bill in March and expect me to be able to recognize phone calls made. Right now MCI has sent this to a collection agency which is always calling for atleast a $500 good faith payment AND THEN they will "look" over my bill. It is ashame that I am only a 21 year old college student and I may have bad credit because of MCI doing this. So whoever is even considering signing with MCI I hope this changed your mind.
