Misleading advertising ripoff

Purchased new Yamaha Receiver from Big on Digital. On Big on Digital web site warranty they advertise all new products carry 1 year parts, 90 day parts and labor warranty. The unit no longer works after month and a half contacted Big on digit who referred me to Yamaha Service center. Service center advised Big on digital not an authorized dealer - and no warranty at all on product. Contacted Big on digital again - and again referred to Yamaha - This time called Yamaha head office, who confirmed that product has no warranty and Big on digital not authorized dealer. Spoke to customer service (Big on Digital) who advised me that product does not carry warranty unless you buy one! This is cleary a contradiction of what their web site portrays - in fact on the web site pop up notifies customer that product has warranty.

Big on Digital have advertised their goods in a misleading way, and consequently I am now at a financial loss and have a defective product.

Big on Digital did call and offer to sell me a warranty for an additional $40. I questioned the warranty advertised and asked why this was not honored - The reply - "the product does have a warranty - but this is not valid"... Beware buyers...
