Citibank Scam, Financial Aid, Fraud

With a retention rate of only 32% and a graduation rate of only 17%, Rio Salado college is clearly running a scam. They want to postpone classes and give the student, (which they reefer to as "Customers" in their automated system) the complete run-around about funds. My name is Pete Branham. I've fought tooth and nail to get into college for the past year. I have finally made it into a community college and they have refused to help me in any way. After a series of miscommunications, they let me know that my grant refund was processed and they're taking everything because I'm "Out of state", yet I can visit their campus in person, right now if I so choose to.

It seems that $4500 in grant money has exactly, to the dime, payed for college for this semester. Let me remind you that it's cheaper to attend ASU. I've fought with Rio Salado for a whopping 2 weeks on these issues and I still have no books because no money was disbursed and this semester block is almost over. They've gone as far as threatening to drop me from classes thus voiding my loan which is being processed. If the loan doesn't go through because they have dropped me from classes because of a lack of book funding, I owe the college $10,000. There are several reports of this happening as well as pending lawsuits against the college in 2011 for "Student Loan Fraud".

There is also several reports on a website called "usacomplaints.com" Here's the link. I'm not the only one. We need to fix this before someone else is trapped in a losing battle with Megabanks and Community Colleges. It's simply an attack on poverty. If I had a trust fund, then I could pay for school myself, but instead, I have to rely on a mega bank and a college working together to ruin my life and forever chase the next paycheck so as to pad the pockets of one or two people. Thank you for your time. If something isn't done soon I will continue to report this to the Nation and will not stop reporting this white collar crime until it is handled accordingly.
