Is a rip-off! Beware of them!

I have been ripped off of just like all of the other reports that I have read about this company. I too received the phone call regarding a credit call that would help me improve my credit and that only costs $299. I fell for this scam and gave them the payment. I was told that I could cancel this up to 72 hours before the date that the $299 was to be debited from my acount.

For some reason after I got off the phone with Mike Beal (ID #9426), I went on the internet and looked up Everest Consumer Services. The reports that I found were not good. They all talked about how the company had ripped off people and not delivered what it was supposed to have. The very next day I called the company to cancel and was told that the number that I had called was the Customer Care Center for Everest Consumer Services and they did not have my records to cancel my request.

I was told that my records would not be there until 48 hours before the scheduled date that the fee was to be taken from my bank. I was told that I could do a stop payment on the check with my bank. I did do that but guess what... When Everest debited my account they did not use the check number that I had given them. They used there own check number. I was not aware that I could have put a stop payment on the amount instead of on the check.

I was told that my refund was approved on August 10 by Everest Consumer Services and that I could expect the refund in 15 to thirty days. It has been well over 60 days right now. I keep getting the run around from the Customer Care Center. Some of these people are the rudest people that I have ever dealt with in my life. They should put themselves in other peoples shoes. They would not like to be waiting around for a refund of $299. That is a lot of money for me being that I am a single parent of four children with a vehicle that is now broken down and needs fixed.

I have been told that I would be on call back list for the supervisor or manager of the Customer Care Center to call me back after he/she has investigated why it is taken so long for my refund. I have yet to receive a call back and when I call there I feel as if the Customer Care Center feels like I am bothering them and shouldn't have an attitude. So if anyone reads this, hopefully it will be before this company rips you off. Beware of everest consumer services!!
