National Merchant Center
Ripoff charging merchants for legal termination

Education & Science

I called National Merchant Center in order to cancel my contract that has expired several months ago. I was told that since I did not cancel within 30 days of expiration date, it automatically has extended for another year. If I still want to cancel I will need to pay the remainder of 10 months. That is 10 times $30, for a total of $300.

This is a clear rip off. I have had contract with them for the last three years, where I used their company for only 1 1/2 years and I paid the rest regularly as monthly fees of $30 per month, waiting for contract to expire. The contract states that it does renew, however it states that one need to give 30-day notice, which I did. This is real rip off company that needs to be investigated by authorities.
