Inadequate teaching methods, false student material claims, financial irresponsibility, failure to review scholarship request florida

Now to the main points. First, an inadequate education. Let me just say that I study 4 to 10 hours nearly everyday, for the last 3 years. That said, most of what I've learned has been on my own (lynda.com rocks!). The curriculum (IADT) only covers the bare bones basics (not even all of them at that). They teach you the basics in the beginning classes. From there, the curriculum looks like it's going to get into advanced studies with names like "advanced open source systems". Unfortunately, all that is taught is mostly what was already covered in the prior class. Next, the Teachers vaguely respond to emails, and when they do, their answers are not very helpful, if relevant at all. Finally, students are charged 426$ for books. When books are delivered (if on time, if the correct book for the class, or if at all) they are ebooks, and grossly dated. (No, they don' t do refunds, and they don't make things right by providing the correct book) Yes, book. One book. That's it. $426. I had one instructor and one instructor only that even taught out of the dated book we were given (an advanced class). He only taught briefly from it, and that was not until the class was almost over (after most of the class was used to revisit the same things that the same instructor taught in not one but two prior classes. (They provide access to safari online books)

I sent in a couple of scholarship applications. They kept saying, oops we didn't get that.
They gave advice which kept me from having the funds to get a BA, so I had to settle for a AS ($40,000).
Please check back, I am in the process of putting together a web site for everyone affected (not just Iadt, but all online "college" scams like the Art Institute online) to connect with one another. There are many more reviews like this on the web, and it would be good to get them all in one place. Also, it would be good to have a forum where we could brainstorm ideas to get this fixed. There is possibly legal action we can take, but that is something that we'd all have to pull together on.
