Surplus Alert - Impact Surplus - Free blvd Surplus Alert
Is a rip-off and a big scam!

After evaluating the Surplus Alert website during the trial period, I sent an e-mail to support@surplusalert.com requesting cancellation and stated not to charge my account. I asked for a confirmation to my request and did not receive one.

A couple days later I received a message on my telephone answering machine from a lady at Surplus Alert stating my account will be charged $29.95. She left no phone number or other contact information.

I also received a letter from Surplus Alert giving me my web address, user name and password to my Surplus Alert Web address. It letter stated that if I needed assistance to contact support@surplusalert.com, the same email address I send the request for cancellation e-mails to. The address given on the letter is:

Pleasant Grove, IT. 84062

I sent another e-mail requesting cancellation and reminded them of the first e-mail request to cancel during the trial period. Again, I asked for confirmation but never received one. After seeing the charge for $29.95 on my bank statement, I contacted the bank. It appears the this company is using more then one name. The charge on my account was from Impact Surplus. I have found that the company has used the names Surplus Alert, Impact Surplus and Free Blvd.

I called the telephone operator to get a phone number for Surplus Alert located in Pleasant Grove, UT. But no phone number exists for Surplus Alert or Impact Surplus. The operator found a number of 801-785-0764 for Free Blvd, the third company name. The phone range many time and no one answered and no message machine picked up. If this isn't a scam, I don't know what is.
