Removed $299.50 from my account after I had cancelled order and claimed I never cancelled

This seems to happen way too often. I was dumb enough to believe that someone was willing to help me with my credit so I signed up to recieve a credit card. Only catch was a $299.50 payment.

I wised up 2 days later and decided to cancel and representative told me it was taken care of. 2 weeks later, $299.50 was taken out of our account, leaving my wife and I overdrawn $300.00!

All I get is the runaround when I call them saying theres no record of my cancellation. Obviously they lost it but managed not to lose my accoumt #. These people are ripping off the people who can least afford it! They should rot in jail!
