Ripoff small business, trying to cut costs to survive

I'm joining the others who were scammed by Norvergence of Newark, NJ and Bancorps of Iowa. We are a small business, trying to cut costs to survive and we were approached by a rep. With great, swelling words about the advantage of consolidating our phone lines, cell phones, long distance etc. For one monthly cost. We agreed to the all the terms and now upon hearing of the chapter 11 bankruptcy of Norvergence, contacted Bancorps who basically say, "that's your problem". I have a matrix box on my wall doing nothing and I'm supposed to pay $12,000 over 5 years for this dead dinosaur! Where is the law when we really need them on your side. If you have been able to find any answers to this problem, I would like to know. Our lawyer here in NC says that if it had happened in our state, the law would be favorable to us, but that the state of Iowa is not usually favorable to the consumer. I've never been scammed before, I am a senior citizen with limited knowledge about a lot of these things, so please, advise if you can.
