Teacher, Program Chair, Lack of Support from administration Internet

I have worked as a program chair at an ITT for a little over 2 years, There was one student in my program that the Dean took a liking to. Anytime this student went to complain about anything I did she swallowed it up like is was Manna from heaven. This student has had repeated documented cases of insubordination and outright threats to faculty members reported in IRIS (IRIS is the database where student advising is maintained)

This student has never been suspended or disciplined in any manner. This student has succeeded in getting two adjunct instructors fired, one quit, and two others refuse to teach her. I was called into my Dean's Office today to sign a write up for allegedly "making disparaging remarks about a student organization" Even if I did this it has nothing to do with my job. This write up was done in retaliation to an FMLA request I submitted to care for a elderly parent.

At ITT the students are seen as cash cows. They are under intense pressure from headquarters not to have any drops.instructors are evaluated on engagement rate which is your attendance rate with the added twist of everyone being marked absent for the rest of the quarter if they drop. Most instructors come there with the goal of wanting to make a difference and have sincere and honorable intentions.
