Ripoff they did multiple account "transfers" of other people's bills to mine and then shut me off

I moved into my residence in october. I called xcel— had service connected in my name and there was absolutely no problems. Got to the fourth month of service (february), and all of a sudden my bill went from $191.22 to an almost $10,000.00!!!

They claim them to be account transfers that were someone else's bills, that I had resided at and that someone had put my name as a user of service on the accounts. I thought you yourself had to do that; at least in most normal cases. They made up their own assumptions of one of the delinquent customers being in a relationship with me which they have NO right to insinuate.

When the bill came in the ridiculous total, I stopped making any kind of payment to them insisting that they had to fix this because it was wrong and that those people should be responsible for their own bills. To which their reply was that they were not in the system and that I was, so it makes me responsible.

At the same time as the months went by, the bill kept bouncing up and down in total. How it can do that receiving no payment and seeing as how the more I continued to say this is not right the bill just kept getting bigger. I talked to a representative 3 different times— 3 different people in one day and got all different information from all three

It goes on and on but the end result is awful. My 5 children cannot be at home with me, and it could possibly make my family lose our house as result of the shutoff making me be in breech of contract on my contract for deed home. They are snide and nothing but rude to me—and the itemized list of totals they keep claiming to have sent me is not even showing up in the mail like they said. I am seriously frustrated that they think they can lie, assume and try to ruin the only home I have ever had of our own for my family.
