Never again! I am on a mission to get back at these crooks!

Let me start off by saying that I don't know whether to feel better that there are so many others out here with the same problems.

I started out with Fingerhut just like many of you. I ordered some small items back in 1997, and paid for them all. I got a small credit increase and purchased some more items.

Well, I wish I never did, because it turns out these are the items they are trying to say I never paid for. I returned several broken items to them in 1998!

I closed my account with them shortly thereafter, and never ordered another product from them again.

Just pulled a credit report and found RJM Acqui. Listed for over a $1100 dollars! I was at a loss like many of you, I didn't even know who these people were. It took alot of time to track down a number for them.

When I contacted them, I gave them the account number listed on my credit report, and that's when the rep started getting nasty and telling me I owed them for all these items, and began listing them all.

I then asked him, how can you tell me I owe you for something back in 1998, and yet you all are reporting to the credit bureus that I opened the account in 8?

That's when I began getting the story about how Fingerhut nosedived in and this company was handling there accounts.

I have now been on the phone with this person arguing for 25 minutes, and it wasn't until I made a comment about just paying it off, that I got an actual address. The rep also had no answer for why I never recieved any bill or prior paperwork about this account!

Lastly, I could go on some more. I only have read in this column, one person so far that has gotten anywhere. I am very interested in doing whatever it takes to get these crooks! Anyone with any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am in this for the long haul, I can already see that! Thanks for hearing me out...
