Still collect ripoff

You consumers need to know and learn the law better, fdcpa, which still allows old debts to be collectable to a certain extent. If stats are up you won't be able to be sued in court and when you send a c & d letter, make sure it's certified. I worked for the company myself but no longer. But sure there are some bad apples in the company but it's a revolving door with their employees. So just be careful cause they have your info.
