Capital Acquisitions Management Company - scam fraudulent billing they told me I had an old credit card debt from 18 years ago

On Monday January 19 I had another message on my home phone from this guy who calls himself T Bell, this was about the third message from him so I decided that he was probably trying to sell me something so I called him back.

He informed me that I had a credit card with the last payment being made in December 1989, and that there was around $1900.00 in interest, so I'm thinking that it's that old Merchants Bank Card that had a Class Action Suit against them and I'm going to get paid interest, WooHoo. Wrong T Bell informed that if I pay the $800.00 they would take off the interest.

At this point I'm livid, someone is calling to tell me I owe $800.00 for a very old credit card that I know nothing about, I explained to him that I had excellent credit, and if I did have an old debt I would have heard something before now, this was 18 years ago, at that point he began to tell me who I had credit with, and I explained that if he could see my credit then he could also see that nothing has ever been late. I ask for proof he said that he would have to contact Citibank. Then I ask for their Website, he put me on hold and came back to say it's under construction. Yeah right.

He said that he had mailed me a letter on January 2, and then later in the conversation he said he mailed it on January 18th, which was a Sunday so I questioned that. He said that these debts don't go away until you pay them and then threatened to turn it into the Credit Bureau. During this conversation I continued to tell him over and over again that this is not my debt and that he has the wrong person. He finally said that he would contact Citibank for verification, and I agreed to call him the next day from work at 2:00.

When I called him back I ask if I could put him on speakerphone, he ask way and I said so that I could take notes. He was not able to get in touch with Citibank and wanted to call me back at home, I told him no, that I would call him back in about 18 years. Haven't heard from him since.

I did get his letter today and was writing a notice of dispute when I decided to look up their name on the Web and found that I'm not alone. These people are ruthless and it's sad to think that they are terrorizing people into sending them money
