Scuba Internships with Mermaids failed to get what promised

I recently went to Mermaids in Thailand and went through their trainee ship program. I was promised in the many emails I received during my recruitment that on graduation I would not have any problem finding work using their patented, only for our graduates employment scheme. And scheme or scam it is. I was not able to find employment using their method and had to leave thailand without having found work. I came home to the UK and finally did find work, no thanks to Mermaids. So 1550 pounds more in airfare.
I also was not that impressed with the program. Slack, easy and students do what they want. I felt taken advantage at times. But its a big program and you can feel lost and unattended. I would look somewhere else. I found out later its the most expensive program around and for the money I paid I should have felt like at least welcome.

Final recommendation. You can do better, for a lot less...
