As with any decision in life, one cannot be made withoutaccurate information. After having been in ongoing communication with KaplanUniversity admissions department over a period of five months, I discovered somethingodd. I am a UOPX graduate of Business Arts and had been lookingto find a degree more specific to my goals; therefore I chose to pursueenrollment at Kaplan University. To my surprise, I discovered that Kaplans advertisementof accreditation is not completely accurate. I did some research and discoveredthat my local university will not accept any credits from Kaplan. My localschool will accept credits from certain OLS/Distant learning programs such aswith UOPX. I encourage anyone considering enrollment in an OLS/Distant learningprogram to consider this and call his or her local college or university to see ifcredits are accepted. I feel over-all that Kaplan misleads applicants throughvague and incomplete answers. Do not make a decision based on what the schoolsrepresentative conveys without hard evidence that supports personal goals. On a positive note, I offer praise to the enrollmentcounselor that worked with me at Kaplan. She has always been pleasant andpatient with all my questions and delays; although her job pressures her to be vagueand persistent.
