Ripoff! A representative tells me the lease can be transferred if I can't pay - now I can't transfer it

On January 1, I retired from the Army with 26 years of service and started a business. On January 20th a representative of this company pays me a visit and says I will need a credit card processing machine. I asked him about all the details and he informed me, I could not get this machine financed from anybody else because my business was new. He told me it was a non-cancell lease, but, if I couldn't afford it, he could get it transferred to someone else.

I found out I could not afford it and tried many times to contact this representative of this company. He said he was sick the day I called him, but would call me back the following Monday, this was August 22. I have been trying to call this person, many, many times with no response. I called the lease company and they said I have a non-cancell lease, that I owe the remaining balance, I told them the circumstances I leased the machine, but they didn't want to hear anything else.

I have sent the machine back and they have been calling me three and four times a day, to ask me about payment on that lease. I have changed bank accounts, because they would just draw the money out every month and I could not afford that anymore. Now I am constantly harrassed by phone calls all day long. My credit might be ruined, because of this, but if there is a legal way to resolve this, I need to know about it.

I have researched the internet and I know, that harrassing phone calls are illegal and I'm ready to call the nearest office of the Federal Trade Comission and report this violation of a federal law against them.
