I am recent graduate that has 2 degrees in Criminal Justiceand Psychology, plus 5 years of security experience including supervising, armed and bouncer. I was looking opportunity in NYC to find a securityposition; and I did find lot of postings in craigslist.org. One of them was UrbanDynamics, so I called them and spoke to them for a minute and got interviewnext day. Only by the phone they offered me salary from $16 to $32 an h. So I rushnext day to 2 East 42 street for an interview. After sgt. Lopez interview meshe offered me job in Federal Reserve Bank in NY for $32/h, however I wouldhave to do the armed training for over $2,000, I said I cant came out with thatmoney for now so I asked her if I could start of with unarmed position. Shesaid yes, and offered me to work in Empire State Building for $16/h but I wouldhave to do like 5 certification that would cost me over $700. Therefore I borrowmoney from my family and went to classes (sleeping in there). After everythingwas done they set up a placement interview with other lady (Ms. Irene Nelson) where I got 4 pieces of paper stating where I can go for an interview. I wentto two of them one offered me a driving for $7.50 an hour and other place wasnot hiring anymore. To this day I cannot reach contact with sgt. Lopez, she wontcall back or answer my calls. I have nojob and I owe money.
