Attended for veterinary "technician" What a joke

I attended apollo college of portland oregon for ten months for an accelerated program for supposedly veterinary technician. I was also told it was the only college in the state of oregon that has a veterinary technician program. Come to find out, it was available at a local community college for a 2 year program which upon completion, You were immediately available to get a technican license. At apollo, after 6 months, i was told that it was a veterinary assistant program, and i'm sorry, but you do not need a college education to clean kennels, and walk dogs. My teacher was an ex veterinary technician, with no teachers license, and never taught students in her existence. She swore like a sailor, Treated students like friends, and constantly talked about "things" that were completely inappropriate. She even went on to discuss her husbands bathroom habits. It was interesting, When you see the commercials, or talk to someone, they say that it is "hands on" with small classroom sizes, so you get more time with your instructors. Not true. When i started, There were about 15 people in the class, and by the end, the numbers towered over thirty. Space was cramped, and sometimes you could go through a 5 hour class period (classes were 5 hrs. Per day, 5 days a week) and not get a single word in to the "instructor". It also was wrong, because we were required to provide our own animals to work on during class. If no students had or brought animals, you were basically shit out of luck, and as the number of students grew, sometimes there were as few as 2 animals per class period. Every three weeks you get new chapters, and different material to study. Every time that happend, you would get more students. So some students could be 3 months along or more, and basically you would have to "babysit" and teach the new people how to do things in lab. And today, a year and a half later, i have applied to virtually every clinic in portland, and surrounding areas, And got a call back from two, which offered me a kennel position. I still have student loans, and no way to repay them. If had known, i would have gone to the community college, and not been stuck in minium wage jobs with a worthless education, and "diploma". I could think of a lot better things to do with 12 grand. Avoid apollo college at all costs.
