NationalEvaluation Systems
Company refuses to give transcripts after 5 years making it an illigitimate educational institution interested in ripping off teachers for every cent they can with the help of the districts they lobby

Education & Science

I was a district intern who graduated the intern program in 1996. I passed the CLAD tests and here is my proof. I have not the certificate although for twelve years this was accepted by my school's EL people. National Evaluation Systems has an unfair policy of not allowing test results of 5 years or more to be given out. Does any University that has transcripts of its students have such an unfair and ridiculous policy? No!

The situation is: You need to accept this as proof and retroactively attach a CLAD authorization to my credential. I have spoken with union lawyers and they agree with me. We can try to get NES to acknowledge my having passed the CLAD and get them to vouch for me concerning this or start a lawsuit and waste everyone's time and money. Although it will likely waste more of the district's money because there are more people like me that have already been affected by this. The suit will bring into question the LAUSD's involvement with NES as an unfair practice in that unlike any other learning institution that makes transcripts available without regard to date, NES doesn't. That is neither professional or fair and may cause class action lawsuits to be filed.

The bottom line is this: To have graduated the LAUSD's intern program as an English teacher, I had to have the CLAD coursework and passing scores on all four sections. That I did. But because I did not pay NES the exorbitant and unfair fee for another piece of paper (CLAD certificate), which in itself is another unfair business practice, I never received the certificate. I say unfair because what learning institution charges you for its diploma? The transcripts are what prove the course was passed and the "pass report" must be considered the equivalent of just that.

NES wants to charge money for a piece of paper (Certificate) after they already charged you for the class and the test! If you wait five years before you need to buy the piece of paper, you'll have to take the class over (another $400) and pay for the test again as well as the certificate. This is totally unfair and unprofessional! Watch out for this company. They deserve class action lawsuits filed against them!
