Al Collins Graphic Design years of ripoffs business from hell

I attended Collins a few years ago and am still feeling the fallout. A simple nine month course turned out twice as long. There was little assistance from reps, counselors, instructors. Computers in labs numbered so few that only half the students in a class could use them. There were only two or three scanners that could be used, one Zip (unless students brought their own).
Unscheduled "holidays" and teachers that didn't always seem to know what they were teaching. One in particular was often drunk, and students complained about him because he'd give assignments, later claim he didn't, or he would make them re-do an assignment then give them lower grades for being late. Over an extended seasonal vacation, he was terminated and someone who seemed like an amateur took over the class. I got one day of an important class that was supposed to have been six weeks.

The school kept a list of jobs on a bulletin board. They had little to do with what anyone was studying, and were mostly basic wage positions. With a couple months prior to graduation, I finally got frustrated enough to drop out because I couldn't get enough time in on the school computers to do homework—although they offered me discounts on expensive programs that I could never afford, in spite of working full time.

I realized I couldn't get my money back but felt I could continue studies on my own while searching for a job in my chosen field. Wishful thinking! Every business that even considered me said they would never seriously consider hiring anyone from Collins because even the graduates come out ill-equipped to take on a job.

Eventually, I landed jobs here and there, and have improved through my own studies, but I haven't been the great success the Rep claimed. I never received any assistance from them in the area of employment.

I was slow repaying on the loans but in a way it was a good thing because I discovered that they had arranged loans that caused my debt to double. I still can't understand it. Supposedly, my loan was sold to another company, which tacked on a larger amount. They passed it on to another agency. I paid as much as I could, but they tried to attach my wages. However, I wasn't even making enough for them to do that. The DOE later snagged a $4,000 tax return, only to call my job wanting to again attach my wages because there was no record of that money ever being received.instead of having about $5,000 left to pay, I now have over $12,000 and no one knows where any of my payments have gone. Needless to say, I have no credit.in fact, I've had it with credit agencies calling me 7,8 times a day and sending as many letters daily, all reminding me that I need to pay various amounts.

Now I don't know what I owe or who's getting my money. They are demanding proof that the IRS took my return and applied it to the loans. All I have is a letter informing me of this action and the calls still keep coming because they claim the agencies haven't received any monies. I wish I'd never become involved with Collins.
