Grant 4 me
Is a supposed grant funding company - I was duped! Las Vegas

I filled out a form for a software package online, and was asked if I was interested in grants to allow me to continue going to school. I clicked yes, and gave them my number. When they called, all seemed right. But when they offered the information package for only $1.95 shipping I asked if they took American Express. She replied that they wouldn't take credit cards... Hmmmm... I should have known right then! I located my ATM/Visa and read the number off to her. It was only after she had all my information that she told me I can cancel at any time. "Cancel what?" I asked. It turned out I was going to be charged $60.00 per month to retain the service. "What service?" I asked. I finally said "Wait... Let's stop now!" I told her I needed to cancel this transaction immediately. She resisted, and when she did, I asked to speak to her manager. After five more minutes on the phone, she assured me I would not be charged for anything.
A couple of days later, I received a $1.95 charge on my bank account. I made a phone call asking why I was charged. I explained to the gentleman on the phone what had happened, and that I wanted no part of this. He reversed the charge, and appologized, reassuring me that I would not be charged anything else.
A week later, here I am looking at my account summary, and I have a charge for $76.21 from Grant 4 me. I called, and the woman on the other end said I should have canceled at an earlier date, and would not listen to me. I got angry, telling her it was some way to run a business.
I called the bank, and they got me the form to dispute the charge. I called the Grant 4 me number again, however, and now, they have no record of me in their database. Strange... I'm going to follow thru with the bank, though!
