Waited two years for subscription... And still waiting

My wife wrote a check for $48 for a subscription for our grandson. She now allows as how it has been two years. Anyone who buys "allow 90 to 120 days for delivery" as a plausible length of time to activate a subscription is either not in their right mind, or not reading (mostly) small print on the subscription form.
I called their number and left a message detailing the length of time, receipt number and other pertinent details. Frankly, after nearly two years, I don't hold out much hope for a response.
In my (not so) humble opinion, send the youngster away from your door without a check, and pull a subscription form from a magazine at Barnes and Noble or Book People or other reputable periodicals carrier, and give yourself a fighting chance.
