Fraudulent ripoff business

On April 1, I received a letter from Camco saying that I had an outstanding account with Citibank for $7,675.89 that was bought by Fourscore Resourse Capital and now owned by Capital Acquisitiions & Management Company.

I called them the next morning and was told by Kathy Johnson that this debt was from the 1980's and if I paid $3,335. It would be taken care of. I asked her for written proof of this acquisition and she assured me it would be in the mail by April 4th. Next she put me on the phone with her boss, Mr. Weaver, who said if I paid by credit card or sent them a certified check by express mail I would only have to pay $2002. If I chose not to pay, I would be taken to court and be responsible for the entire amount plus all legal fees. He was very threatening and tried to scare me into paying it right now.

That's when I found your web site listing numerous other cases of fraudulent rip-offs by this company. Needless to say I sent them no money. I also never received any proof of this debt existing.

Kathy called back on April 8th wanting to know where the money was. I wanted to know where the proof was. I also mentioned the cases of fraud I saw they were being charged with. She said they were in excellent standing with The Better Business Bureau and she would fax me an affidavit that day. I have yet to hear from her!
