Was on payment plan that somehow stopped causing my payment plan to be cancelled without me even knowing the payments were stopped

I august 08 i was called saying my student loans were in default which surprised me since i was on a payment plan but i was told yes i was on plan but it was dropped since i wasnt paying enough (which i thought was funny since the company my loan was first with set up the amount i had to pay themselves) and that they (wyndam) had purchased my loan. At that time i set up another plan with another amount that was over what I could afford all together but I somehow managed with no problems until somehow in january the payment s just stopped coming out of my acct. I contacted the company in february to see if there had been an issue and thats when i was told no issue payment was probably stopped since my payment and my paycheck were to hit on the same day (keep in mind it had been fine from aug 08 until that january 15th payment) and was told not to worry it would be ok.

Well february rolled around and nothing came out. Called back could not get thru to anyone was on hold for 127 minutes (per my phones timer) befiore I just hung up. Called back to back to back only to now be in march with no call from this company the contact numbers I have for my supposed case worker isnt correct and that women (for lack of a better word) never answers her line or returns any calls so it is just a joke trying to communicate with them. I got thru to them today only to be told that my arrangment had been cancelled and now they were getting ready for garnishment I couldnt believe this after all I had done to get this under control this company single handedly ruined my arrangement. No one has even come up with an idea as how this happened back in january and they arent trying to fix this so now my loans are back in default after I had them cleared again. I was told that I need to send them a copy of my check stubs before they can redo the arrangment and since im behind again it probably wont be for the amount I was on before, which was already depleating my finances.

I have two small kids at home and have to cover all my expenses myself and really feel like this company is taking the very life out of me. How can one person be expected to jump thru all these hoops this company is making me do. They messed up my plan and I have to suffer the consequences. I really need help. Is this mess even legal what they are doing? Can I get another company to purchase my loan should I go into default again and let another company buy my loan like they said they did just to get a company that might actually get my loan resolved.
