Ripoff deceptive company

I received a call from a representative of Bernard Haldane
Associates in Miami. The lady on the other line was very
professional but had a very distant/cautious sales tone. It immediately struck me as odd for a recruiter.

Without even asking me my credentials, reason for leaving my current job, background, etc. She told me to report to the downtown Miami office immediately. It struck me as very very odd.

Naturally I asked about the positions they had available
in my field (Network Administration). The lady insisted that she did not have any information and that I would have to talk with the VP of the Miami office. That definitely sounded like a "RAT"
to me at that point.

As much as I tried, I could not get any idea on what this entire phone call or company was about. It sounded very fishy however, since I have never had any experience like it (with an agency).

To make a long story short, I decided to investigate this agency on the WEB. Sure enough, all of my wildest fears were true. It looks like Mrs. Lady friend from Bernard Haldane Associates was
lining me up for a very expensive and useless "career session".

Thanks to this site and others, I have been one of the lucky ones. See folks, with a bit of research and the WEB, scams like the ones BHA propagates are easily discovered. Community watch and reporting is the key. Thanks a million folks out there!
