Deceptive Company Unauthorized Transaction $149.95 Who are these rip-off thieves? How can they get away with this?!

On January 23 I discovered a withdrawl from my checking account for the amount $149.95. The withdrawl was made by MWI Premier Health. I immediately called the number provided 1 (800) 313-1757 and asked for an explanation for this charge. After being put on hold for 5-10 minutes while my so-called "account" was retrieved, I was told that my account would be closed and that I would receive a credit of $149.95 within 3-5 business days.

I asked to speak to a supervisor to find out who authorized the transaction and how my account number was received in the first place. After being on hold for another 5-10 minutes, a supervisor (ID# 1416) first told me that I had responded to the offer by mail with written consent. When I asked for a copy of this document she suddenly changed her story and said that I was offered the promotion after purchasing items from a t.V.infomercial. Determined not to be outsmarted I asked her if that telephone conversation had been recorded and if it was on file somewhere. She then told me I would have to speak to a representative at Multiple Products Corporation, the people in charge of the infomercial. Of course she did not have that number so she told me to call 1 800 555-1212 (information) to get that number. Wouldn't you know it... There were no listings to be found for Multiple Products Corporation.

Who are these people??? Isn't there anything we can do to punish them for preying on innocent victims??? They are just taking our money without our permission and without any services in return.
