Rip-off scam

I am a graduating college senior that has fallen on hard times. I have held down 2 jobs while managing to stay on the Dean's List the whole time I have been in college, and my credit has recently become pretty bad. I am trying to start rebuilding my credit and thought this would be a great opportunity.

You see, on 12/6/02 a credit card offer was extended to me in the amount of $5000. I was out of work for Christmas and thought that this would be a great way to get my family and friends presents and just send off the money in January when I went back to work. However, it did not happen quite like I planned. I sent the $49 for the rush processing and delivery.

It is now 1/8/03 and I haven't received my card. I tried to contact the bank last week to get a contact number but there isn't one. So I decided to check for a web site and this one popped up. I was so upset, but I should've known better. But that's still no reason for people to be ripped off!

I guess this was a learning experience for me. Too bad I had to find out the hard way!
