Emerge Account cancellation, Ripoff Interest, Liars, Sold Account to Company With No Physical Address

I paid a lot of up front money for this account plus even more for credit line increases and was with them for 2 1/2 years with no problem. Then on Sept. 6 I received letter stating that my account was being cancelled as of that date due to negative credit report from Equifax in the last 6 months.

I had just received a report from Trans-Union a week before showing no changes in the last three years. It was only after this that I did some Internet research on this company and found about all the others. I started filing complaints with any government agency that might be an overseer of the banking business including my state and US Attorney General's Offices.

So far I have received two responses, one from The Florida Attorney General's Office informing me that they were forwarding my complaint to The California Attorney General's Office because Providians corporate headquarters were in their jurisdiction.

The California office sent me a letter informing me that they were sending my complaint to Providian along with an inquiry from their office. That was Nov. 25, things move slow but it might help that the State of California Just settled a large class action suit with Providian.

I have tried to find some info on Emerge and since their only addresses are only mail drops, I think it's just another Providian spin-off, a collection agency. They don't use the Master Card logo on any of their correspondence so I contacted Master Card to inquire about their affiliation and they did not respond yes or no, they just referred me to Emerge.
