Education & Science

I was ripped off very recently by Everest Institute, formerly Kee Business College, because I didn't do my homework! So everyone beware this school wants your money and they don't want to give you anything in return, except a large debt!

I started in Jan. 2008 with a teacher that was more interested in giving a history lesson about himself than teaching accounting. He spent most of the night eating at his desk, walking in and out smoking, fussing and complain about the teacher next door, and let the class out early. He gave the whole class an A just for showing up. That would be fine if I wasn't paying over $12,000 to be there and if he wasn't responsible for teaching the foundation of accounting.

The next teacher was on an ego trip from the beginning; he just wanted everyone to be blinded by his past experiences as well. I will give him a little credit he did try to teach, but his negativity and unprofessionalism clouded the room and that was part of what he was assigned to teach - professionalism in the workplace and keeping personal p. He would also bring his complaints about the teacher next into the classroom during lectures and/or class discussions. He doesn't keep up with test taken by students and gives them zeros for work already graded and turned in! He is the department chairperson and dismissing student concerns and/or makes them someone elses problem. He has a habit of passing students to the next module the knowledge needed to be successful and without informing them of their short comings to make arrangements with the next teacher.

The administrative office offers no help to students with complaints. They make accuse after accuse for their teachers and staff. They promote continuing your education without telling you they are not accredited and the credits obtained there do not go to other institutions (community colleges or universities). Even when you go to the director of education and inform her you do not want to stay at the school because the are not stable in terms of instructors, the lay out of courses are all over the place (ie start at module A, B and jump to E and F, then go back to C), the teachers are unprofessional and are expected to teach students how to be professional, and the entire staff is either uninformed or taught to dance around questions from students, she will withdraw you for "personal reasons" not due to being unsatisfied with the program.

They need to be stopped. People are getting loans for thousands of dollars when the economy is at it's worst trying to get ahead and they are scamming the community. I want to get students together to take action against them and if anyone is in agreement please respond to this posting.
