I am very concerned about the Child Development Tecnology Program at the Jacksoun County branch of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The technical courses in the program are a joke. The teacher comes in late, she doesn't care if the students are coming in late and leaving early, and I suspect that she doesn't care if you turn in assignments on time. The apathy is horrible. Students talk among themselves in the back of the room while the teacher drones on and on in a monotone. Cell phones are ringing and people are in class playing with their phones and focusing intently on text messaging. Some students sleep in the back of the room, then they wake up, then they begin visiting with their friends. This is a college and no Kindergarten, I am shocked and amazed that this kind of behavior can go on at a junior college. No wonder Mississippi is known as the most stupid state in the nation!

The academic courses I've taken are high quality and the teachers demand respect from the students. All this goofing off is not tolerated and disruptful students are put in their place swiftly. The academics at MGCCC Jackson County are high quality and I have no complaints. I'm sick and tired of listening to students running their mouths in the back of the room while the lecturer pretends she doesn't hear them. I've complained to the administration, but nothing has changed. I pay alot of hard earned money to attend this college and I want to hear the lectures without all the loud feedback in the room. I'm ready to sue the school to get all my tuition back!!!
