Discount Warehouse (TDW) Sent Me Junk!

TDW sent me pallets full of used junk that was supposed to be 3 pallets of SEARS mixed electronics store returns. The items they sent where clearly not from Sears, but from Kmart, Target, Ames, with two items from Sears that looked like they had been used for years. A boombox even had paint spatter on it. When I called to complain, they acknowledged that this was wrong, and have since never denied that these were not the correct pallets.

Mike Cavallos told me he would investigate and get back with me on 11/18, but never did.instead, he had Martina tell us that they would give us a $1500 credit. I demanded that they either refund the purchase price of $2500, or send us the correct merchandise. They would do neither. I complained again on 11/22. I spoke with Rafael, and he assigned Alicia to handle it.

She said she would contact me with a resolution on 11/25. She called that morning and said they did not have any Sears mixed electronics pallets at that time, offered $1000 credit and a "good deal" on our next purchase. I reiterated my demand of a complete refund if the merchandise was not available. She said she would talk to Rafael and see what else she could do.

In the meantime, I called on 11/27 to verify that TDW was sold out of the Sears pallets. At that time, Carolina sold me three pallets of Sears Mixed Electronics.

When I contacted Alicia and told her I knew they had the merchandise that they owed me, she acknowledged that they did, but Rafael did not want to send them to me to settle the dispute. She said that he was willing to give me a $2000 credit only after I made another purchase with them. I told her that sounded like blackmail, told her it was unfair, and asked why I would ever want to do business with them again after the way I was being treated. I told her that I would begin to pursue legal avenues to refund the cost of the merchandise plus $501.33 in shipping charges. That was the last encounter I have had with TDW.
