Raised My Intrest Rate ripoff sneaky dirty rotten company thrives on the little people

To my surprise I was going through some paper work and realized that my interest rate on my credit card had went from 11% to 19.99%. I don't read my paper statement because I do all my bill paying online and this account is actually on auto pay.

I contacted customer service and was told they informed me on my statement in January that they were going to raise my rate. I explained why I do not read the paper statement. They chuckled at me and said that it was just to bad. I expressed I had two cards with there company and my husband also had a card and that was no way to do there customers. I spoke to a manager and she was even ruder than the first. Each of them seem to find humor in this. It is partially my fault for not being more aware. I didn't no that this kind of practice was legal. Seems to be some kind of scam!

At this point the only option I had was close the account and continue to pay the 19.9% interest or keep it open and pay the 19.9% rate. I chose to close this account and will transfer my balance to a different card. This was a horrible way to learn how crooked credit card companies really are. Do not go with WAMU card services. They will get at the end and the intro rate will not be worth the end result.

If anyone has any helpful advice that may get me some of my money back please advice. I don't need anyones negative comments that make the situation worse.
