Conned Son into buying, agreed to a payoff amount, then continued to bill full amount

Active pPeriodicals conned my son into paying 64.83 for magazines for 16 months. When we detected the scam we called and tried to close the account. They refused. They did however agree over the phone (but would never send us a written statement of the agreement) that they would accept a payoff amount. We paid that ($127.00) but they continue to hound us for information on my son and are now passing on to a thrid party collection agent.
