High Tech Institute
(orlando) WORST "SCHOOL" EVER. I wouldn't even call it college. Money hungry bastards. Waste of 23,000 dollars

I started atteding high tech institute on aug, 6th 2007. Let it be know that i moved to FL by myself from NY when i was just 17 to attend this school. My parents trusted this school and took it for what they thought it was worth, with all they're "great promises". What a joke.

Okay, i was going for Medical Assisting. And let me tell you i didn't get far. I had completed these three half ass cheesy & easy classes. But so could a damn monkey. The "teachers" that supposedly were "certified" and at least "knowledgable" bullshit. The instuctors teaching math were also the same ones for computers, english, humanities & every other class. They didn't know the material, they couldn't teach you sh*. And they didn't.

First off, this school didn't ever take my Medical Records. I could have had AIDS or Hep. (which thankfully i dont) but still, they are teaching students (who are just learning) how to draw blood on other students! Hellooo, i realize that it's florida, where half the state consists of everyone without a green card who needs one! Not saying it's a dirty country but you dont know what is out in this world anymore. That has got to a vilolation code of something?! Where'd OSHA on this damn job?

Then when i realized what a joke this school was, it was too late. So i decided to try and transfer from the degree program tot he diploma program, so i could just go home and finish what i started in a real school. But of course, i was told no. Only people without a high school diploma could take the diploma program. Yet, CHUBB in NJ offered it to anyone. So by then i'm thinking, if you couldn't complete high school why are you trying collge anyways?! And wouldn't it make sense that you would have to learn more of the Gen Ed. Material since you didn't even finish high school? But of course, nope. Lazy one gets out easy.

This gets better, believe it or not. Nov. Our school has a meeting about how they're school cannot issue degree programs. & they're not sure if they'll get it back. The ACCSCT (accediting comission for the school) has revoked their priveledges. Go figure. But nowww, they want everyone to switch to diplomas. But before they wouldn't let me because "it's again state law" BULLSH*. Money hungry people is more like it. So on Nov. 8th i said "SEE YA HIGH TECH!" and dropped out. I wasn't about to play games witht his school any longer. Now i've got bills up the ying-yang to pay back and i didn't even receive any credit for their little "education games".

If anyone from the High Tech Institute reads this, i'd love for you to respond telling me how you feel about screwing up an 18yr olds college & future? I moved 1300 miles by myself to go to your school and you dont tell anyone your on probation?! That you lie and lie just to stay on top? That you wouldn't let us talk to the media when asking questions!? What a joke you've made of my career so far. And How much you've let down my family and I. I really hope you pull your heads out of your ass and take a looka t what your doing to peoples lives. Some people can't afford to just restart, pack up and move home. Thankfully i managed, and let me tell you im not made of money, i wasn't the lucky one who got grandpas money when he passed to spend the way i choose. Now i'm scared to even continue with college, but i will hope the next guys wont take my money like you.
