"eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection" This Is A Fake, Fake eBay scammed me out of $3005.00

I was looking on craigslist for a car when I came across a woman selling a 2005 camry This is what her email read:

" First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my car. I am selling it at this price ($2900) because I just finished the divorce with my husband. When the divorce has finished i own this car. Now as a woman i don't need it. This car is in excellent working condition, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title, 3 months transferable warranty.

From the beginning you have to know that for the payment I request only secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay services.

We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account for $20,000. The final price that I want for this car is $2900 US including shipping and handling.

If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay.

I will wait your answer (if you are interested to buy) very soon.

Then I recieved emails from an eBay rep. Well so i thought he was named Richard Palmer both who claimed to reside in Reno NV I was told that the money has to be sent through Moneygram with the buyer/seller names included along w/moneygram order # this info. Had to be faxed to # 1 (408)-796-5480 They even confirmed with this email:

"Dear Customer,

We confirm we have received your fax containing the copy of the payment receipt. We will receive your payment (within the next 24 - 48 hours), and we will instruct your seller to start the process of shipping to your location immediately after we receive and secure the funds. Now we will notify your seller to make all the arrangements for the process of shipping so he can be ready when we will send him the final confirmation.
We will secure the funds for you until you will receive the vehicle and we will pay the seller only with your approval.

If the vehicle will not be like described, you will have to send it back on seller's expense and we will give you a full refund. If you have other questions regarding your transaction do not hesitate to e-mail us.

Since this last email I havent recieved anymore replies regarding anything and its 2 wks now. The moneygram was cashed which the name Dorothy was mispelled by accident as Dorthy which I personally think I shouldve been contacted to confirm maybe this couldve been prevented. I did some research which brought me to the conclusion of me being ripped off!!
