Victim of Lies and Deceit

I was contacted by John from this Capital Management. He had a conversation with me stating "I understand where you are coming from, I would never get a credit card from Capital One because of how they treat people and I work for them." Then he offered me a settlement and I told him that I would not pay that amount. I then told him the amount that I would pay and he put me on hold.

After putting me on hold, he came back with an amount. I then stated that I was not willing to pay that amount and offered $226.91. He placed me on hold again. When he returned to the phone he said "that my client said that they are willing to accept that amount as a settlement agreement and they are willing to allow you to make a payment in two payments of 113.45." I then agreed and he transfered me to the Director by the name of Derrick. He confirmed the payment and stated the if I had any questions to contact him at extention 4128.

The next month when I called to make my final payment, I learned that John had lied to me. He didn't set me up for a settlement but had set me up for a payment arrangement. Since that time I have spoken several people to no avail. All the employees stick up for each other. Now, I call them and John won't even speak to me now. When I call him at extention 5554, he hangs up in my face because he knows that he lied to me.

I have spoken to their compliance department and they won't even investigate the situation or even pull the so call recorded calls that have been made to me by their employees or call that I have made to their company. This company will deceive you so be very careful when talking to them and get everything in writing before making any payments.
