On March 5 I received a telephone call in the early hours of the morning waking me up from a sound sleep the caller was telling me that I had WON a trip for 4 people to Florida with a cruise to the Bahamas.

After the spleal from a woman I was then passed on to a man who they stated was my trip co-ordinator, who proceeded to tell me that the trip would cost me just $998 US$ if I wished to accept the trip. They told me that they woud arrange my accommodation and travel arrangements, and that had 18 months to choose the date of my trip and that they would arrange for my tickets to be sent to me, and that all they needed was my credit cards details which I gave them, mind you I was still half asleep.

They then passed me on to another person who wanted all my details at this time alarm bells were going off in my head, he informed me that the money had already been debited from my account. I immediately told him that I wished to cancel this as I did not have the funds to afford this and anyhow I thought that I had won this trip. He then put me back to the first man I had spoken to and he informed me that because I had given him my bank details that meant that I had confirmed my intentions of accepting this trip. At no time had I informed them that I was approving this transaction.

At this time I was almost in tears as they had taken the money from my account already. The man said that he would be unable to return my money because the booking had already been made and there was no cancellations because of the deal. I than preceeded to tell the man that I would be contacting the police, and hang up. Whilst on the phone to the police the company tried to contact me. My daughter answered the phone and they stated to her that because I wanted to withdraw that they were going to report me for credit card fraud.

After I had hung up from the police I received another call from the company, they have informed me that the money would be returned to my account within 3 to 5 days. Why is that I have to wait this long when in a matter of minutes they were able to debit my account. I have contacted my bank who have told me that because I have given them my account details there is nothing that they are able to do. How can this be.

I can only hope that this company will abide by what they have told me about them returning them money to my account.
