Another victim of univeral gas

A few months ago my un-expecting girlfriend was lied to and taken advantage of by this so called "cheaper" gas company. A representitive came to her door stating that she "needs" to sign up and "gauranteed a cheaper bill". Un knowingly, she signed up assuming she had to since she was told everyone else in her moble park has already signed up and she also had to. A month or two later our bill came in the mail. About a $150 increase on our bill wasnt the only shock we noticed. After repeatidly contacting the company, we found out that there is a $250 fee to cancel. A rep on the phone actually had the nerve to say "thats how we make our money" and began to laugh and say "sorry, you have to pay the bill or the fee".incredibly upset, i called consumers to see if this was for real. Unfortunatly it was. Recently a shut-off notice has been sent to her house now due to non payment. How can a student/mother/worker be expected to pay double her normal bill just so some punk kid could recieve a small commission check? I have attemped to contact local law firms and news channels to resolve this matter and have had little progress so far. This company should definently refund money and or damages.
