Has taken me for over 990.00 on a 300.00 loan! Utah

Took a payday loan out for 300.00 on June 5 with a finance charge of 90.00 - so we owed 390.00, right? No... Come the due date... And up until November 31... They have periodically deducted 90.00 for our checking account totaling 990.00!!! And when I called - they said that wasn't even applied to the 300.00 loan - it was a roll over charge since we never called them to tell them to pay off the loan! CAN YOU BELIEVE THEM?

Well - here is how I am handling it - I TRIED reasoning with Geneva Roth first - thinking I would give them the benefit of the doubt... No luck. I have sent them two faxes stating that they had a week to refund me 600.00 before I got an attorney involved... Still nothing from them. They keep putting me thru to a supervisor when I call who (of course) is NEVER available.

I also have a report in on them thru Ohio's Federal Consumer's Dept. They will begin investigating them as well and act as an arbritrated between the two of us.

I was also told to contact the local police department and file a report - because basically, this company has STOLEN from me... Along with all you other people.

And of course I went to my bank and filled out a Federal Regulation form to get the money reimbursed back into my account... Except most banks will only go back 60 days until you have solid proof of the fraud.

So - I hope I have my money back here soon. I will not let this go - I can't believe I am such an idiot and did not pick up on this months ago! I could kick myself in the butt for being such an idiot!

Idiot or not - NO ONE is taken me for granted and stealing from me! ALL OF YOU involved with this company needs to file a complaint with your state's Federal Commissioners for Consumer's Rights! You have too!
