Is a ripoff! They don't care about the education of the people that take their courses!

Due to the fact that I have severe migraines and agoraphobia, keeping a job isn't a realistic goal for me at the moment. I found PCDI's Medical Transcription course and thought it was a great idea. After I was done with the course I hoped to get a job working from home online. Back in November I enrolled. I got the books and other course material in a reasonable amount of time. For the first 9 months I was flying through the course. Around August/September I sumbitted an assigment and after 10 days (which is the normal grading period) I hadn't gotten it back. I sent an e-mail, to which they simpily told me they were working on it. After 6 weeks I sent another e-mail... They then informed me that they only had 1 grader at the time and it would be back as soon as possible.in all, this one assignment took over 2 months to get back. Shortly after this I got an e-mail telling me that my deadline was approaching. I sent them a letter asking why I should have to pay them for an extension when it was their fault I was 2 months behind schedule?! The assignment I had submitted I failed. I sent it in a couple more times and still failed it.

On the 3rd time, I got a note back from the grader (she basically corrected the assignment and then put lines through it all so I had to retype it)... I followed her "Notes" and resubmitted the assignment. I then failed it worse with her help than I had on my own! I tried calling the student helpline, and the tutors there are worthless because they told me they could not help me. They told me I had to speak to my grader, Sheila Shafer. After calling 3 times a day for a few days, and leaving numerous messages for Sheila, I have given up. My deadline to finish my work is today... But I refuse to continue to pay the school $30 a month or whatever the extension charge is, to continue to fail this one assignment. If Sheila, or any of the other people at this school, truely cared about the education of the people that attend it, then they could have at least returned a phone call! In the last week since I started trying to get ahold of Sheila, I have had a continuous migraine from the stress. It's just not worth it anymore. I have chosen to take my losses and get away from this company. I've taken other online courses from other schools, and NEVER had the problems I have had with PCDI. I hope that if you are thinking about enrolling in PCDI for anything, that you will think twice about it. I have found hundreds of other people on many other websites that are very unhappy with them as well. I know I won't make this mistake again.
