I would highly suggest for anybody who feels (knows) they have been ripped off at Collins College to contact the Department of Education ombudsman:
U.S. Department of Education
FSA Ombudsman
830 First Street, NE
Fourth Floor
Washington, DC 20202-5144
There are guidelines that an ethical college should follow, including but not limited to enrolling students that will be able to graduate. If you have a pending bankruptcy and you let them know, and they enrolled you anyway, you should write to the Ombudsman. If you have a "handicap" and were promised a tutor that, without a tutor's help you can't be expected to graduate, you should write a letter to the Ombudsman. If you were misled in any way, even though you signed an agreement stating otherwise, these are things that should be reported. Most students who come in to enroll do not sit down and read all the fine print; they hope that the person who is enrolling them is ethical and has enough integrity to tell them the truth. If anything other than this has happened to you, it's important that it is reported. Though your signature on documents is ultimately what counts, with enough complaints, perhaps unethical behavior will cease.
