AD-EFX needs a "replacement" cheque for a cheque that cleared 4 weeks ago. California

Education & Science

Several weeks after I bought a promotional package for spa treatments I was contacated by Ad-efx claiming that my cheque was returned because I did not specify that it was in american dollars seeing as it was from Canadian bank account to an American company. Adefx claimed that Royal bank, which is not the bank I was using when I wrote the cheque, notified them that they would not be able to accept the cheque and that they would be charging me a fee of 5.00.

As well, I was told that Ad-efx themselves were charged a 10.00 fee for depositing a returned cheque that they felt I should be accountable for. They also claimed that they had a copy of my returned cheque.

Adefx, however, could not tell me my bank account number because it was "unreadable". (yeah, right)
According to my bank statement, an email from a representitive of my bank, along with a phone conversation with my bank rep, the cheque had infact cleared and saw no reason that it would be returned unless of NSF which was certainly not an issue. And, if it were to be returned it would have been done so already.

I was also informed that, RBC cannot debit a fee from a Coast Capital bank account/client for any reason as Ad-efx claimed. Moreover, my bank rep said banks will gladly cash Canadian cheques for Canadian dollars which what happend and therefore AD-efx recieved more than 47.00USD.

Right now, I am being harassed by Ad-efx to send them a "replacement" cheque for 47.00USD which as Ive said was cashed several weeks ago.
