Late fees and online payment ripoff

When paying online you must do so a few days ahead of time and by a certain time, if you make payment online on the due date it will be marked as late and a fee charged. I made my payment on the due date by phone with a supervisor who told me that since my payment was made on the due date there would be not late fee. When I got my next statement there was a $39 late fee. I called and spoke to a 'relationship manager' who said that the fee would show removed as of the next billing cycle. I asked her how much my minimum payment would be now that the fee was removed and she said $93.21. She refused to budge and I asked for her supervisor, I got Jake, he refused to budge and said they did me a favor with the payment. I told him to close my account, we minced words I told him to * drop dead and hung up. I lost my temper with his smug attitude. I then called back trying to find the supervisor who did the payment originally they have no idea who it was, they only have the operator number, they patch me through to Jake again and he said they didn't know and he wasn't going to do anything else to find out. So I hung up again and called back because he said I could only talk to him unless I kept calling back. Well then I got Vermel who said Jake was his boss, I tried to explain calmly what I was trying to find out, while trying to explain he started laughing, I asked him if he was laughing at me, and he laughed harder I lost my temper. I called back again and he put me on hold for a long time, and when he spoke to me he would mispronounce my name a different way each time it came out of his mouth even though I corrected him everytime.
