Ripoff, They scam good honest people with bad checks. Dishonest!

I was responding to a survey ad which was supposed to be for western union and money gram. I was to be paid $500.00 to complete the survey. I was sent a $3000.00 check that appeared to be drawn on chase bank and sent under the company name BTX express. I checked on the internet and BTX air express is a real company name so I was satisfied with that. I thought maybe BTX hired precise marketing to conduct these surveys for them "that was not the case". I put the check in the bank and waited for this to clear.
In the mean time Precise marketing kept sending me emails wanting me to complete the survey by sending them $2500.00 via western union and money gram "I was to pay myself first and then send the rest back. I informed them that the check didn't clear but they wanted me to hurry and complete the survey. I now became worried and I expressed my concern via email. I never heard from the company again!
The check never cleared and all my funds in my bank account were put on hold do to the on strange check. I'm so grateful that my bank didn't make the funds available to me right away before the check was cleared. I would have owed the bank $3000.00 and would have sent scam artist $2500.00 for doing nothing.
It was a close call for me but let me explain how the scam works. 1st they send you the check. 2nd you put it in the bank and withdraw $2500.00 to send back to them from your already available funds 3rd the check bounces and your out of the $2500.00 that you have already sent them. Everything is under the pretis of completing a survey for money gram and western union so when you are asked to send them money using these methods you don't think anything of it. The only thing that saved me from becoming a victim was precise marketing didn't consider that I have a great bank and I was not sending them anything until the check cleared!
