Ripoff Company promised us a grant from the government

My husband & I have both lost our jobs are looking into starting our own business. We have done alot of looking online and this company got our phone # from one of the aps we completed online.

A man using the name of Scott Haskins called and told my husband the he was qualified for a gov't grant all we had to do was send them $419.00 in a certified bank check and this must be sent certified mail and we were to call him as soon as it was sent out with a tracking #. They would fill out all the needed paperwork and submit it for us as soon as they get the $. We only had 3 days to do it or you wont beable to apply for a gov't grant for 3 years.

We started doing alot of research on this company (as $419.00 is alot with either of us working). Yes they have a web site, but the email address is not a valid one as i tried to email them. The direct phone # we were given to call Scott back at anytime was a Texas #. We did more research and got ahold of some people in Champlain, NY and were told that there have been alot of scams going on in Champlain, as they are close to Canada. Hopefully this will help someone else not to get scammed by this company.
