Shame! Shame Shame!

I wrote a poem about my feelings after my Dad died. After I found your website and read others reports, I felt used, violated and taken advantage of. I entered imy poetry poetry.com. I received the info about this contest on a survey website!

I received a letter telling me I was a semi-finalist for their International Open Poetry Contest June 18th. They asked me to proof-read my poem (which was printed cock-eyed by the way. That should have been my first clue!)

I thought this will be a good tribute to my Dad, and we should order a couple of these books to be published in "Summer of 2007". The title of the book was to be "Immortal Verses." I sent a check for $61.00 to cover deposit on 2 books ($20.00), fee for my profile ($25.00) and fee for S&H ($16.00).

Have been in the hospital and was behind on my email. Checked this morning and I received an email telling me my poem was rejected. I immediately called my bank and put a stop payment on my check! Thank God the check has not gone through and I am only out $15.00 and the $4.95 to send it 2 day mail... I only found your site when I searched the adress!

Thank God for your site! Keep up the good work! I will tell others to help them also.
