Mclomas Cole - Barrister Lomas Auction House ripoff Scam Sends Spoofed Paypal email to prove payment so buyer will ship right away

I have an auction up on e-bay right now for a laptop. A few hours after I posted it I recieved an email from this Barrister Lomas. He was giving a sob story about how he needed to get a laptop for his son to start school, but his son lived in Nigeria. He claimed he would deposit 1500$ USD into my papal account in return for ultra prompt shipping. I replied that as soon as the money is in my paypal account I would send it promptly. Soon after I got an e-mail from service@paypal.com letting me know that i had just recieved 1500$ from Barrister Lomas. I went and checked my paypal account and there was nothing there. I went back to the e-mail that said service@paypal.com and looked at the headers this time. The email originated from paypalservice@paymentsdepts.com which is not a paypal mail server. This is where the scam is, albeit weak scam at that; but what this guy wants is for you to see this spoofed email and run out and send the item right away.By the time you get back home and actually login to your paypal account there is nothing there and you have no item. I just felt it was neccessary to let others know of this and other scams that are very similar. So be careful when selling on auction sites/blogs!
