Co. I received a collection notice at an address I have not lived at for years (mother's residence) collecting on behalf of PSE&G. Ripoff

I received a collection notice at an address I have not resided for many years in the amount of $204.43. The invoice is allegedly collecting on behalf of Public Service Electric but it is not spelled out as such, instead of PSE&G. I was also very wary becuase the individual I spoke to on the telephone was very insistent about taking my personal bank information, which I did not give. I just felt very uncomfortable and suspicious about the matter; so I told the individual that I would send a check in the mail.

Then when I was looking into paying the company over the internet, I see that Merchants Credit Guide Co. Is all over the internet for fraudelant activities. I am now going to contact PSE&G directly to find out if in fact I do have an outstanding figure. If so, I will settle with them directly. I would then like to pursue some litigation against this company because it is just not right what they are doing to innocent people.
